A two-day training course for responsible persons on gender equality was jointly organized by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and German İnternational Cooperation Organization (GIZ) on January 30-31.

The event was attended by representatives of various government agencies on gender issues. The purpose of the event was to create equal opportunities for men and women in all areas of public life, and to analyze the barriers to gender equality.

The two-day training included presentations on gender equality, protection of women's rights, existing gender policy, gender audits, cooperation with national legislation and international organizations, methods of combating gender discrimination and other issues.

Head and Senior counselor of Staff Department of İntellectual Property Agency Ms. Ulviyya Khasayeva and Ms. Aydan Huseynova participated at the event.

Participants were granted certificates at the end of training course.
