The Eurasian Patent Universiade (knowledge contest) "Look into the Future" was held.

The competition held by the Eurasian Patent Organization (EPO) was attended by students of secondary schools, secondary vocational and higher education institutions, as well as other interested persons under the age of 25 by age categories of the EPO Member States. Representatives of our country participated in the Knowledge Competition with the initiative of the Intellectual Property Agency and the Ministry of Education. Projects of more than 30 authors from higher and secondary education institutions of Azerbaijan submitted to the Organizing Committee of the Universiade.

According to the results of the contest, Jamila Alizadeh and Alesker Tarverdiyev, the pupils of the high school named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva under the Ministry of Education, won the first age category (from age 10 to 17). Jury to the highest place awarded their joint project of «Application of bio Plato for water purification of water reservoirs».

Besides, Fidan Hasanzadeh, pupil of secondary school №7 of Baku city, was awarded the title of "Method for separating naphtha acids from wastes of alkaline dewatering of diesel fuel", Taleh Aliyev and Zarifa Ahmedzadeh, pupils of Baku European Lyceum under the Ministry of Education, "Synthesis of new generation of oil production" Laman Aliyeva and Philipp Bakaldy's "Parachute for unmanned aerial vehicles", Hamid Salimov, Aybeniz Ahmedova and Timur Kalayev's "Piezoelectric anti-icing system", as well as Sumgayit State University's second age category (aged 18 to 25) students of Seymour Talibov and Tayfun Hajiyev "A flexible production module for the reconstruction of old model cars based on CAD / CAM" is also among the winners of the Universiade

The purpose of the Universiade is to support talented young people and increase their interest to intellectual property issues.

It should be noted that the EPO was established in 1994. Our country signed the Eurasian Patent Convention on September 9, 1994 and in 1995 it became a full member of the organization by ratifying the Convention.
