Chairman of Board of Intellectual Property Agency Kamran Imanov addressed a conference on "Azerbaijan's development model: Yesterday, today and tomorrow" organized by the New Azerbaijan Party and in partnership with the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication. In his speech, he stressed that the reforms of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the field of intellectual property are in line with the renewed nature of this area.

In his speech on "Innovative development and intellectual property rights in Azerbaijan", the Head of the Agency spoke about the impact of economic and institutional reforms in the country on the intellectual property ecosystem and the support of innovative development of the changed intellectual property context: "It is possible to continue the positive trends and results. However, the most important thing is that the conceptual and institutional reforms carried out by President Ilham Aliyev in the field of intellectual property are in line with the renewed nature of intellectual property and serve the country's economic reforms in a systematic manner”.

Noting that the traditional approach to intellectual property no longer reflects the realities, K.Imanov said that as a result of the institutional reform of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with the modern, updated context of the intellectual property category, a new management model and structure in the field of intellectual property.

According to him, it is a structure that serves to unify the unifying trinity formula: the actualization of a unique management model that combines cognition, creativity and commercialization (3C), ie the acquisition and understanding of knowledge, the creation of new knowledge and its commercialization and innovation.

“This confirms the effectiveness of institutional reform. That is why the tasks facing the intellectual property system are determined by the country's innovation policy and serve the economic reforms implemented in the country” – he stressed.

Chairman of Board of the Agency concluded his speech with these words: “Today is the 21st of December. As we know, December 21-22 is the day of the winter solstice, the darkest day of the year, the day when the night exceeds the day to the maximum. The sun rises with the flattest trajectory. It lasts 3 days.
