The Pharmaceutical Register of the Eurasian Patent Office is a search resource that contains information on patents for inventions related to pharmacologically active substances that have been assigned international non-patent names (INPN).

The register was created to inform interested parties about exclusive rights to pharmaceutical inventions protected in the territory of the member states of the Eurasian Patent Convention (EPC), and provides patent holders with additional means of protecting their rights.

The pharmaceutical register of EPO includes information on pharmacologically active substances (chemical compounds, including those described by the general structural formula, biotechnological products, compositions and combinations containing pharmacologically active substances), methods of obtaining pharmacologically active substances and patents protecting their medical use. The register also contains information on the legal status of the corresponding patents in the EPC member states, on the concluded license agreements, and also on the registration certificates of medicinal products issued by the competent authorities of these states.

At the moment, EPO provides the opportunity to enter information about national patents of EPC member states into the register. With this purpose, the owners of national patents can directly contact the ЕPO. The necessary documents for submitting an application and the procedure for its consideration are determined by the Procedure for the Administration of the Pharmaceutical Register, located on the Internet portal of the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO).
