Chairman of Board of Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Imanov received Vice-President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations Vuqar Zeynalov.

Greeting the guest, K. Imanov spoke about the wide-ranging reforms in the field of intellectual property, under the leadership of Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and appreciated the efforts of the entrepreneur representation body to cooperate with the Agency in raising the level of intellectual property culture in the business sector. The chairman of the Agency noted that there is a great potential in the field of science in our country, and the state has created great opportunities for entrepreneurs. According to Competitiveness İndex of Davos World Economic Forum Azerbaijan ranks 36^th ahead of a number of developed countries on “Intellectual property Rights Protection” indicator. Kamran Imanov noted that Azerbaijan ranks 71^st in the field of innovation, the low level of inclination of entrepreneurs to innovation, the active market makers.

V. Zeynalov thanked for the reception, saying that modern business traditions are still new in our country. Noting that the Confederation has begun cooperation with young scientists who are engaged in scientific research in entrepreneurship, enterprise innovation and innovation since 2016, and the commercialization of their scientific results, the guest emphasized that the exporting countries are currently the most developed and economically developed countries. Zeynalov emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with the Agency to increase the awareness of entrepreneurs in the field of intellectual property and the need for support of the Agency in this area and the importance of trainings in this area.

Referring to the results of intellectual creative activity, the application of patents in the market, K.Imanov emphasized that the promotion of business circles' interest in innovations and support for the creation of new startups is one of the main tasks facing the Agency. He said that Agency is ready to create conditions for the entrepreneurs to use Agency's scientific and technical base, also to hold trainings for them.

At the end of the meeting, the Agency agreed to hold trainings on intellectual property for entrepreneurs and representatives of the business sector.
