A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Intellectual Property Agency and the State Advertising Agency

Before the signing of the documents, a meeting was held between the heads of both Agencies.
Kamran Imanov, Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency, spoke about the successful structural reforms implemented at the Agency under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Providing detailed information on the establishment and start of operations of the Intellectual Property Agency, K. Imanov drew attention to the fact that intellectual property is a knowledge-based field of activity and emphasized that currently the concept of intellectual property covers wider areas. K. Imanov expressed his confidence that the activities of the Intellectual Property Agency and the State Advertising Agency overlap in many aspects, and therefore, the mutual cooperation of both state agencies will make great contributions to the common cause.
Farhad Adigozalov, Chairman of the Board of the State Advertising Agency, expressed his satisfaction with this meeting and spoke about the recent placement of advertisements in open spaces and the measures they have taken in this area. He provided information about the work they have done in accordance with the requirements of the legislation by combining all efforts to solve the problems.
Then, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Intellectual Property Agency and the State Advertising Agency.
The memorandum was signed by the chairman of the boards of the agencies, Kamran Imanov and Farhad Adigozalov.
The purpose of signing the memorandum is to effectively and mutually organize work to preserve the richness and purity of the Azerbaijani language, improve and promote the use of the state language, discuss solutions to ensure that advertising texts in foreign languages comply with literary language norms, as well as comply with the requirements of the legislation. As a result of joint activities, it will be determined whether the rights holders comply with the requirements of relevant legislative acts regarding advertising texts for goods advertised in foreign languages in open spaces, and awareness-raising activities will be carried out in this area. At the same time, joint monitoring will be carried out to ensure compliance with the provisions of legislative acts in outdoor advertisements for goods bearing registered trademarks and geographical indications.As a result of the joint activities, it is planned to organize meetings with advertising entities, including joint training in the field of advertising.
This memorandum confirms the determination of the parties to join their efforts to develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
