Another training session conducted by the Intellectual Property Agency has been completed

From February 25 to March 18 of this year, for the employees of the Azerbaijan Medical and Technical Universities, a training on the topic of “Drafting and filing national and international applications for patent law objects” was organized by specialists of the Patent and Trademark Examination Center under the Intellectual Property Agency.
On March 18, a meeting was held at the Agency to mark the completion of the training.
Sanan Tapdigov, a member of the Board of the Agency, speaking at the opening of the event, provided information on the activities of the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and noted that the Agency was established by the Decree of the President and that various areas of intellectual property were united in a single state institution.
He also emphasized that one of the main tasks of the Agency is to increase inventive activity, improve the sphere of trademarks and copyright and that the Agency’s management pays serious attention to this issue.
S. Tapdigov reported that the Agency has implemented various educational events in this regard, and during this training, professional specialists provided relevant and theoretical knowledge about this rather rich and extensive area in a short period of time. It was emphasized that this training will have a positive impact on increasing awareness in the field of application preparation.
It should be noted that during the training, the employees of the Patent and Trademark Examination Center, Sevinj Zeynalova, Afat Gasimova, Konul Amirjanova and Natavan Talishova provided extensive information on the procedures for drafting applications, conducting examinations, the content of applications in the field of chemistry and medicine, the specifics of drafting a description and formula of an invention, as well as the procedure for filing national and international applications.
The employees of the Azerbaijan Technical and Medical Universities who took part in the training spoke and expressed gratitude to the Agency's management for the work done to improve knowledge in this area, and also highly appreciated the prompt and comprehensive activities of the Agency's specialists.
At the end participants who successfully completed the training were awarded certificates from S. Tapdigov.
