On May 7, an event dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Intellectual Property Agency.

Opening the event, Sanan Tapdigov, member of the Board of Azerbaijan's Intellectual Property Agency emphasized the invaluable role of the outstanding statesman and genius Heydar Aliyev in the establishment of modern Azerbaijani statehood. He noted that the return of the Great Leader to political power in Azerbaijan for a second time in the early 1990s, during a period marked by turmoil and chaos in the country, laid the foundation for the formation and strengthening of Azerbaijan’s national statehood. He noted that, even during the Soviet era, it was precisely during Heydar Aliyev’s first period in political leadership in Azerbaijan that major industrial facilities were built across the country, opportunities were created for Azerbaijani youth to study at various higher education institutions throughout the Soviet Union, and support was provided for their professional training and development as qualified specialists. He emphasized that the domestic and foreign policy foundations laid by the National Leader are being successfully continued in the modern era by Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event featured a report by Mubariz Mammadli, director of the Republican Scientific and Technical Library under the Agency. The report emphasized that the Great Leader made unparalleled contributions to the comprehensive development of our country, and that the development of various sectors of the economy was always in the focus of this brilliant personality. Referring to the views of Kamran Imanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency, M. Mammadli stated that Heydar Aliyev is the author and creator of the national intellectual property system. He emphasized that thanks to the great experience and wise political talent of the National Leader, the path leading Azerbaijan to the future is in capable hands.
