The presentation of the "Geographical indications" project was held within the framework of the visit of the delegation led by Mr. Hasan Kleib, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Dr. Kamran Imanov, Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency, who opened the event, spoke about the significance of this project and said that such events lay the foundation for future effective cooperation.

H. Kleib noting that the project will consist of several stages, he pointed out that during the project, will be held meetings with many entrepreneurs, and then the main attention will be focused on the brand, packaging, business strategy.

He emphasized that certain projects were implemented by WIPO in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other countries and the results were positive. He mentioned that several foreign experts will be involved in the project to be held in Azerbaijan.

At the event, opinions were exchanged with a number of business entrepreneurs and their questions were answered.
