The Intellectual Property Agency held an online training to raise awareness civil servants on ethical norms defined by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Rules of Ethical Conduct of Civil Servants”.

Opening the event Chief of Staff of Agency Natig Isayev noted that for our people in 2021, the glorious historical victory of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, passed in the spirit of endless feelings of joy and pride, comprehensive growth and renaissance of creativity. He said that the Armenian army was disbanded, and the territorial claims of this unfinished state based on mythology were in vain. He emphasized that the spirit of the victorious nation, as in all areas, gave a great impetus to the development of intellectual property, the performance of everyone involved in the field, encouraged to increase initiative in implementing the state policy in this area.

Noting that exemplary ethical behavior is one of the most important requirements for civil servants, Natig Isayev said that the main purpose of the event was to discuss the rules of ethical conduct and their observance, which are important issues for civil servants.

N.Isayev emphasized the care and attention paid in our country to the improvement of professional skills of young civil servants and the formation of young professionals meeting the requirements of modern times, emphasizing the importance of everyone in the civil service to perform their duties with high professionalism, honesty and responsibility. He highly appreciated the activity of employees working within the special quarantine regime applied in our country in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic

Then Deputy-Head of Registration of Copyright objects and Legal Expertize Department Afsana Mirzazada and other speakers informed about main goals and principles of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Rules of Ethical Conduct of Civil Servants”, “Rules of Ethical Conduct of Civil Servants of Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan” affirmed with relevant Order of Chairman of Board of Intellectual property Agency and ethical dilemmas which civil servants may face. They also gave recommendations on obeying rules of ethical conduct.

At the end of the event, the questions of the participants were answered.
