​The Eurasian Patent Organization held a seminar on the topic "Current changes in the acts of the Eurasian Patent Organization on patenting inventions and industrial designs"

On October 18, 2022, in Moscow, the Eurasian Patent Office (EPO) and the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property, in connection with the latest changes in the regulations of the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO), held an online seminar on the topic “Current changes in the acts of the Eurasian Patent Organization on Patenting of Inventions and Industrial Designs”.

At the event, EPO experts made presentations on “Current changes in the procedure for patenting inventions”, “Current changes in the procedure for patenting industrial designs”, “Electronic services of the Eurasian Patent Office for interaction with users of the Eurasian patent system in the context of changes in the patent procedure”.

The online seminar was attended by employees of the national patent offices of the EAPO Member States, Eurasian patent attorneys, including employees of the Department for the Examination of Inventions, Utility Models and Industrial Designs of the Center for Examination of Patents and Trademarks under the Agency - Deputy Head of the Department - Head of Division Sevinj Zeynalova, Head of the Chemistry Division Natavan Talyshova, Head of the Preliminary Examination, Search and Industrial Designs Division Afet Gasimova and Leading Counselor-Expert of the Preliminary Examination, Search and Industrial Designs Division Aysel Shahbazova.
