A meeting with the expert on the transfer of intellectual property and technology of the UK Mrs. Lisa Covey was held at the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Member of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sanan Tapdigov welcomed the guest and underlined that under the leadership of the Head of State, Ilham Aliyev, wide reforms in the field of intellectual property were held in our country. He spoke about the work done in the framework of the "National Project on Intellectual Property Policy at the University and Scientific Research Institutions" jointly implemented by the Intellectual Property Agency and the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization, as well as the measures taken for the commercialization of intellectual property, and informed that since 2018, Technology Transfer and Support to Commercialization Department has been established at the Office of Agency.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Ms. Lisa Covey noted that she is witnessing the achievements of our country in the field of intellectual property, highlighting the possibility of collaborating with the Intellectual Property Agency and implementing joint projects in the field of technology transfer and commercialization in the future. She was also acquainted with books of Mr. Kamran Imanov, Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency.
