A video conference meeting was held between the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI)

The purpose of the meeting led by Sanan Tapdiqov, Member of Board of Intellectual Property Agency, and Andrey Popa, Deputy Director of the State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) was to discuss the implementation status and as well as the prospects for inter-agency cooperation of the Protocol of the 4th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova, dated October 10, 2022,

Within the scope of the meeting, the signing of bilateral documents regarding the field was discussed between the parties. S.Tapdigov suggested starting work on the preparation of the Action Plan, which includes the practical implementation of cooperation, and this proposal was welcomed by the other party.

The relevant promotion of the geographical indications of Azerbaijan and Moldova, the priorities of working in this direction, and the importance of protecting commercial interests in this regard were touched upon. In addition, the activities of organizations that manage the property rights of authors and relevant rights holders operating jointly in both countries were touched upon, and the importance of continuing cooperation in the mentioned areas in the future was emphasized.

The exchange of national legislation in the field of intellectual property and the study of mutual experiences between the parties were also discussed at the meeting.
