The next training was held in an online format within the framework of the project to support micro and small businesses in the agri-food sector of Azerbaijan for economic growth and competitiveness, jointly implemented by the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

At the event, the following presentations were heard: Leontino Tavieran, representative of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV), on "Protection of Plant Variety Rights," Arife Yılmaz Topal, international expert of the project, on "Intellectual Property and Export," Georges Ghandour, representative of the WTO, on "Project Management," and Guljahan Alimardanova, national expert and employee of the Intellectual Property Agency, on "International Procedure for the Registration and Protection of Trademarks". The reports and speeches provided explanations regarding the international registration and legal protection of intellectual property assets.

Representatives of "Artseed" LLC, "Murad Agro" LLC, "Kristal" LLC, "Veyseloglu Group of Companies" and individual entrepreneurs participated in the training, which took place within the framework of the project.

Ali Haydar Olcayto, a representative of the company "Altıntar Tarım A.SH.", which exports powder and fertilizer for growing plants in the Republic of Turkey, participated in the training and provided extensive information about its successes and the reasons for them.

At the end, numerous questions from the event participants were answered.
