The 45th (31st regular) meeting of the Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) began in Moscow on September 9. The event is attended by members of the Administrative Council, as well as heads and other officials of the national patent offices of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

A report by Grigory Ivliyev, President of the Eurasian Patent Office was heard at the meeting. The report provides extensive information on the organization's budget expenditures, payments for maintaining Eurasian patents, participation of representatives of EAPO member states in professional development and education programs, and other issues.

The EAPO’s draft budget of for 2025 was adopted after discussions.

Elections were held for the position of Chairman of the Administrative Council at the meeting. Kamran Imanov, Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was unanimously elected Chairman of the EAPO Administrative Council.

K. Imanov, who joined the event online, expressed his gratitude for this trust. He said that he would strive to use the potential of the Administrative Council members more effectively to strengthen the organization's activity and make new contributions to the work of the Council for the sake of common goals.

The Administrative Council meeting will continue its work on September 10.
