Training on "Copyright and related rights" was held
As reported, April 2024 was declared "Intellectual Property Month" by the Intellectual Property Agency on the occasion of April 23 - World Book and Copyright Day and April 26 - International Intellectual Property Day.
Within the framework of "Intellectual Property Month", a training on "Copyright and related rights" was held at the Intellectual Property Agency on April 2.
At the event, Nadira Badalbeyli, head of the agency's copyright object registration and legal expertise department, talked about the formation of legislation and copyright management system in independent Azerbaijan thanks to the foresight of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the creator of the copyright system in our country, and about the successful continuation of the modernization and development of the copyright system under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. She noted that with the initiative and leadership of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the creator of the national copyright system, intellectual property rights were established in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan's first law on intellectual property - "On Copyright and Related Rights" was adopted, and our country has become a member of the World Intellectual Property Organization and joined a number of international conventions in the field of intellectual property.
N. Badalbeyli said that full information about the history of the national copyright system, its honorable development path and the work done in this field is given in the book "Azerbaijan's copyright system" prepared and published by the Intellectual Property Agency.

The employees of the Agency's structural units and subordinate institutions, representatives of the Public Union "For Copyright" took part in the training.
