An online meeting dedicated to the rules of ethical behavior of civil servants was held at the Intellectual Property Agency in December 28, 2022.

Member of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency Mr. Sanan Tapdigov, emphasized the opinion of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev that being in the civil service is not a privilege, but a responsibility, an opportunity to serve people, and touched on the rules of behavior expected and required of civil servants during the performance of their official duties. He noted that ethical issues in civil service are of great importance and said that civil servants have a great responsibility towards the state and society.

The "2022 report on the rules of ethical behavior" of Mrs. Afsana Mirzazada, the Deputy Head of the Registration of Copyright objects and Legal Expertise Department of the Agency, the person responsible for the rules of ethical behavior (ethical commissioner) was heard at the meeting. In the report, it was noted that in 2022, educational work was continued in order to eliminate the points that could hinder the Agency's activity in time, and methodical materials were prepared, such as a memory guide on the rules and principles of service behavior of the Agency's employees, and the rules of ethical behavior of civil servants. According to the agreement reached with the State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a joint training on "Issues of practical application of ethical rules in civil service" is planned.

Labor discipline, work attendance and other issues were discussed at the meeting.
