The fifth number of the “Intellectual Property. Industrial Property” journal published in Russian Federation. The latest issue of the journal has been devoted to the activities of the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) and the achievements of EAPO Member States in the field of intellectual property.

A scientific article “On the issue of formation and functioning of the modern intellectual property administration” by Dr. Kamran Imanov, Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan was published in the journal. The article deals with the creation of an intellectual property management system.

Dr.K.Imanov gives an overview of the organizational structures of the bodies (separate or joint patent and copyright offices) regulating the sphere of intellectual property in the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization and analysed them. The article focuses on the experience of the Republic of Azerbaijan in this area.

The author presented his recommendations on the formation and operation of modern intellectual property office based on the conducted research.
