In connection with the 30th anniversary of the formation of the intellectual property system of Kyrgyzstan, an international forum on "Transformation of intellectual property into an effective tool for the development of the innovation economy" was held in Bishkek.

Representatives of Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Uzbekistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, as well as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Eurasian Patent Organization attended at the event.

Mr. Garay Dadashov, Head of the International Relations Department of the Intellectual Property Agency, represented our country at the forum. At the opening of the Forum, which was attended by representatives of the Presidential Administration, Parliament, other state institutions, the Academy of Sciences and the general public of Kyrgyzstan, a congratulatory letter of Dr. Kamran Imanov, Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was delivered.

Within the framework of the Forum, WIPO organized Regional seminar on Commercial secrets in Central Asian countries. Various presentations by employees of intellectual property offices of the countries of the region were made at the seminar. In his speech, the representative of Azerbaijan informed about the legal framework for the commercial secrets of our country.
