The amount of fees to be paid to the Intellectual Property Agency for the services provided in the field of legal protection of inventions, utility models, industrial designs and geographical indications has been changed.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 198 dated May 19, 2022, relevant changes were made in the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 247 dated May 27, 2019.
According to the amendments, amount of payment is determenied as follows: 15 manats for the issuance of an extract from the register data of an invention, utility model and industrial design; 45 manats for additional 4 months extension of the period of payment of the state fee for registration of trademarks and geographical indications; 45 manats for extension of the period for submission of materials related to the claim document for a period of 2 (two) months at the request of the applicant; 15 manats for issuance of an extract from the register of a trademark and geographical indication; 90 manats for registration of a pledge agreement in connection with the transfer of exclusive rights to a registered trademark to another person as collateral on a contractual basis; 120 manats for one trademark; for several trademarks (75 manats for more than one trademark, 17 manats for the transfer of rights to a trademark and amendments to the registered license agreements); 68 manats for geographical indication; 218 manats for collective mark; for a period of 6 (six) months granted for the extension of the period after the expiration of the registration period, for each month: 8 manats for trademark, 8 manats for geographical indication, 60 manats for preliminary examination of the application, 203 manats for examination of the application, 23 manats for requesting priority on a trademark, 38 manats for extension of the period of submission of additional document required for examination of the claim document for 2 (two) months on the basis of the applicant's application, 1 (one) month after the date of commencement of examination of the application document 45 manats for making corrections and additions to the materials of the application document on the basis of the applicant's application, 60 manats for acceptance, preparation and sending of the application for registration through the international system.
