The appropriation of the song “Qal Sənə Qurban” by an Armenian singer, the music for which was written by composer Alakbar Taghiyev and the lyrics by poet Mikayil Mushfig, was prevented.

Cypriot singer of Armenian origin Ovik Demirchyan appropriated the song “Qal, sənə qurban” whose music is composed by Alakbar Taghiyev and whose lyrics are by poet Mikayil Mushfig, presented it as an Armenian song, and distributed it on the YouTube platform in Greek under the name “Hara gedir”.
As a result of the measures taken by the Intellectual Property Agency in this regard, the song that O. Demirchyan distributed on the YouTube platform was removed with the technical assistance of the “Digital and Audiovisual Broadcasting Industry” Public Union (RAYS), which collectively manages the property rights of authors, performers and phonogram producers on digital networks.
