As part of the project "Informing Copyright Holders," implemented by the Public Association "Center for Legal Research" with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the basis of a "special grant competition in the field of culture and creative industries" for non-governmental organizations, as well as with the organizational and methodological support of the Agency for Intellectual Property of the Republic of Azerbaijan, another informational and educational training was held in Khankendi.

Elchin Ibrahimov, head of the department of natural sciences at Karabakh University, and Bakhsheish Asgarov, head of the legal research center and associate professor at Baku State University,spoke at the opening of the event, which was held at Karabakh University. They discussed the role of intellectual property in Azerbaijan's scientific, cultural, and economic life, the state policy pursued in this area, and the successful collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the Intellectual Property Agency and civil society institutions.

Vusal Guliyev, head of the intellectual property rights enforcement center at the Intellectual Property Agency, presented the Agency's activities, introduced participants to intellectual property legislation, and informed them of ongoing efforts to raise awareness among copyright holders.

Project expert and chairman of the Independent Legal Center, Aydin Karimov, delivered a presentation on the nature of intellectual property, the interaction of information technology and intellectual property, policies in this area pursued by higher education institutions, mechanisms for protecting copyright in scientific works, and other relevant issues.

During the interactive training, based on practical case studies and conducted with the participation of faculty, researchers, and creative staff from Karabakh University, a broad exchange of views on the topic took place.

Following the event, books and other publications on various areas of intellectual property, prepared under the guidance and with the participation of Professor Kamran Imanov, Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency, were donated to the Karabakh University library.
