Webinar on "Nizami Ganjavi's creativity is the intellectual property of Azerbaijan and the cultural wealth of humanity" was held.
On April 5, 2021, a webinar on "Nizami Ganjavi's creativity is the intellectual property of Azerbaijan and the cultural wealth of humanity" was held with joint organization of Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication and the International Foundation for Turkish Culture and Heritage. The event was organized within the framework of the events held in connection with the proclamation of 2021 as the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" in the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2408 dated January 5, 2021.
The webinar was attended by officials of state bodies, deputies, representatives of international organizations, employees of scientific and educational institutions of our country and others.
Opening the event, Chairman of the Board of the Intellectual Property Agency Kamran Imanov noted that the announcement of the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" has become a very important event for every Azerbaijani as a continuation of our glorious victory in the Great Patriotic War, a glorious page of our state and history of statehood. He noted that the attention paid to the life and work of prominent figures of our literary heritage in our country is another example of consistent policy.
It was noted that the victory of the Glorious Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day Patriotic War enabled hundreds of thousands of our people to return to their ancestral lands, as well as save our historical and cultural monuments from enemy captivity.
K.Imanov thanked President Ilham Aliyev for this great historical victory achieved due to his determination and diplomatic talent. He stressed that the announcement of 2021 as the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" is a clear example of the high value given by our state to our historical figures and classical culture. Because, as indicated in the Order, "Nizami Ganjavi, a prominent representative of world literature, a great Azerbaijani poet and thinker, is one of the rare personalities who opened a new page in the annals of artistic thought of humanity."
The head of the Agency said that Nizami's work is a bright page of poetry, a rich worldview and a peak of knowledge. According to the indelible memory of the great poet, it would be unfair to recognize him only as a master of words. The great Azerbaijani poet Nizami, who was included in the list of 5 most outstanding poets of world literature, was a wonderful scientist and scientist, a person who understood and explained the achievements of the world's natural sciences, mathematics and humanities in the language of art and poetry. Nizami's knowledge was the highest examples of natural science and geometry, cosmology and musicology, psychology and ethnography, deep theology.
There is a meaning to the above - Nizami's knowledge is as infinite as the sea, his statements of 9 centuries ago are in line with modern science, they resonate with them. This is the intellectual property of our great scientist-poet, which has been declared and protected as a state domain.
Imanov stressed that there were those who tried to separate the great poet from his native land and nation, and said that the journalist of the "Voice of Armenia" Aris Kazinya had a special place among them: “"Polygon Azerbaijan" (book I, "Millet", Ключ-S Publishing House, M., 2015), published by the Armenian author, is, so to speak, based on one lie and fabrication in the other.
The "author" reflected his purpose in a short foreword, ie the book (quote) "The example of the transformation of the medieval Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi into an Azerbaijani poet speaks of the modeling of the Azerbaijani nation in the last century" and thus "the Karabakh problem is investigated". In short, according to the theses of this person, Nizami's alleged absence as an Azerbaijani poet (fraudulent declaration) is an artificial, directive creation of the Azerbaijani nation in the Soviet era and the absence of Karabakh as Azerbaijani land are similar chain processes.”
Noting that Nizami is an Azeri Turk, K.Imanov expressed it in the language of the poet - in the words of the translation of "Seven beauties": “In this Habash, my Turkishness is not appreciated”... Therefore, the conclusion of the well-known orientalist Bertels is as follows: “We are talking not only about the territorial affiliation of the poet, but first of all about the deep connection of the spirit of Nizami's work with Azerbaijan”.
K.İmanov stressed that, “Such articles are classified as "works" that deliberately mislead readers, and the author himself is classified as a deliberately lying nationalist. It is obvious that "some deliberately lie, while others are deceived and spread lies." What I have said is addressed to those who can be deceived by getting acquainted with this false opus. Because here an illiterate person intends to show an attempt to humiliate the dignity of our nation with ugly lies.”
Speaking at the event, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Karimov said that the artistic heritage of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi brought our national literature to the forefront of world art, raised the Turkish-Islamic renaissance to its highest peaks. Therefore, the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the proclamation of 2021 as the "Year of Nizami" is an important event not only for Azerbaijan, but also for Turkic, Eastern and world literature. This Order is an indication of the highest respect of our state for the literary and artistic heritage of Azerbaijan.
Then the co-chair of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center Ismail Serageldin, the chairman of the International Foundation for Turkish Culture and Heritage Gunay Efendiyeva, the former director general of ISESCO Abdulaziz Osman al-Tuwaijri, the professor of Cambridge University (UK) Kristin van Ruymbeke and the executive of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication Director Vusal Gasimli made a speech and wished success to the event.
The webinar also included lectures by the director of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Mohammad Fuzuli of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, academician Teymur Karimli on "Nizami's creativity - as a global spiritual value." and Professor Kamran Imanov's "Nizami Ganjavi's work is the intellectual property of Azerbaijan and the cultural wealth of mankind".
Thus, the event has completed its work.
