On December 15, 2025, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree approving the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Cooperation in the Field of Industrial Property Protection".

According to the decree, the "Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Industrial Property Protection between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan", signed in Astana on October 21, 2025, was approved.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan will notify the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan that the internal procedures necessary for the entry into force of the Agreement have been completed.

After the Agreement enters into force, the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan will ensure the implementation of its provisions.

It should be noted that the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Cooperation in the Field of Industrial Property Protection” was signed in October of this year during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
